You don’t have to be into video games to like this next ad. This live-action trailer for Activision’s Destiny is a new post-apocalyptic shooter game with, what I think is, a fun Guardians of the Galaxy-esque feel. This is an action packed ad with a little sly comedy and did I mention it also features Led Zeppelin’s music?
The game is set 700 years in the future featuring humans struggling to stay alive in a solar system they’ve colonized. It was directed by Joseph Kosinski who also directed Oblivion and Tron: Legacy, and shot by Oscar winning Claudio Miranda from Life of Pi. Effects were created by Legacy Effects. I pretty awesome team if you ask me!
Aside from the epic trailer, Activision has also partnered with Google Street View and created “Planet View” so players can explore the different worlds in out solar system.
